ABOUT

Ben Lightman was born in the Black Country, in the heart of England's industrial West Midlands.  It was against this backdrop that his interest in books - both reading and writing - was ignited.

He began his first "novel" at the age of eight, on an enormous laptop given to him by his father. Throughout his adolescence he continued to write short stories.

​

Like others before him, Ben Lightman lost sight of his true passion as adulthood overtook him, and so the writing petered out.

​

Three years ago, he re-discovered his passion. He began writing poetry as a way to pleasantly pass the time. What began as an occasional hobby became a favoured pastime. Soon, it became a compulsion. 

​

Three years after picking up his pen again, Ben Lightman published his first collection of poems, Tales Of Life And Death. 

​

He is currently working on his first novel, The Breaking Point, which is due for release in December 2022.

​

Outside of writing, he likes spending time with his family, taking long walks in the woods and indulging his other passion, practicing Shamanism.

​

Ben Lightman currently lives in Cheshire.
